Best Windows Phone 8 Apps

One of the major criticisms of Windows Phone 8 is the lack of basic apps. However a developer named Rudy Huyn has stepped in to provide all the basic apps that are missing on the Windows Phone platform. Most noteably 6tag (Instagram client), 6sec (Vine Client) and 6snap (Snapchat client). What is more impressive is that these apps are often better than the official versions. Below are the top three Windows Phone 8 apps, while they may be basic apps for Android and iOS its important to remember that Windows Phone is still in its early stages.

This is without a doubt the best Instagram client on Windows Phone 8. Its fast, simple and works extremely well. The ads are unobtrusive and it works better than the official app that Instagram has put on the store. It even allows you better customization options than the official Instagram app. Definitely one of the best apps to grace the Windows Phone Store.

While I do prefer the official Vine client, this is certainly a great app. In some ways it works better than the official Vine app, but I believe it has some sort of upload limit. The official app is also add free, however 6sec is much better at actually playing back vines for your entertainment.

6snap: Download HERE

Snapchat was one of the biggest social phenomenon of 2013...well at least it was for iOS and Android. Thankfully this app is actually better than the official versions. You can log in with your Snapchat account and write almost infinite amounts of text on a snap. It has an option to send to all contacts and works flawlessly. The best snapchat client in existence.
